About Cinemark
CINEMARK BRAZIL
1984
In 1984, the first Cinemark cinema complex was inaugurated in the United States. A magical year for the seventh art, after all, it's not every year that we have heavy hitters and terminators invading the big screens. Since then, we have conquered 16 more countries, becoming the second-largest global network in terms of the number of rooms and the very first in ticket sales.
1997
We arrived in Brazil in 1997. While everyone watched the Titanic sink, our ship docked with always full sessions, national and international releases, as well as exclusive content. We like to make history, the kind that Forrest Gump would tell everyone. That's why we opened the first 3D room in South America, at the Eldorado Shopping Mall in São Paulo.
BRADESCO PRIME
We brought the VIP cinema concept to the country, with an exclusive menu and differentiated service, from the box office to the Snack Bar service. The Bradesco Prime VIP rooms also offer more comfort, with seats that follow the concept of the executive class of international flights.
XD
Another super innovation was the Extreme Digital Cinemark - XD room, with even larger screens and more potent sound, bringing together the most modern in 2D and 3D technology.
D-BOX
In 2014, we introduced Brazil to a technology of the future, impressive even to Marty McFly. We installed the first D-BOX room at Shopping Villa Lobos in São Paulo. Seats that move and vibrate, following the action on the big screen.
CINE MEETING
We innovated even more in our partnership with Casablanca Online, launching a real-time transmission format: Cinemeeting. This product allows the display of various events for more than nine thousand people, at the same time, in 32 rooms of different capitals. A live transmission, via satellite, with high definition or 3D. Quality and audience that even The Truman Show would envy.

SCHOOL PROJECT
WE BELIEVE THAT CINEMA INSPIRES LEARNING.
That's why we open our doors to students from all over Brazil, allowing public and private schools to schedule exclusive sessions for their students to watch a movie of their choice...
CRIAR INSTITUTE
We sponsor projects and programs such as the Audiovisual History and Language Workshop of the Criar Institute of TV, Cinema, and New Media, because we know that interdisciplinary and cultural experiences are very important, especially for young people. The Workshop has received our support since 2015 and transmits knowledge to young people about the transformations of audiovisual language and the trajectory of influences and transformations in languages and technologies.
FICI
We are a network that encourages culture and we could not stay out of the only national festival dedicated to the youth audience. Since 2003, we have exclusively received and exhibited the FICI, International Children's Film Festival, offering half-price tickets to everyone. The project has already totaled 14 editions, exhibiting more than 900 films from different countries, and more than 1.5 million viewers. The Festival has already passed through cities like Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Niterói, Aracaju, Natal, and Salvador. Only in 2016, there were more than 100 films from 21 countries, including shorts, mediums, and feature films.
CINEMARK INTERNATIONAL
FOUNDED IN 1984 BY LEE ROY MITCHELL AND PAUL BROADHEAD
Founded in 1984 by Lee Roy Mitchell and Paul Broadhead, from a small chain of cinemas in Salt Lake City, in the United States. In two years, the partners have already acquired another 80 rooms in California, Oregon and Utah, and another 80 in Houston, Texas. Cinemark's first Multiplex opened in 1987, and shortly after, the chain already had half of the total number of theaters opened to date in the United States. During this period, the company's mascot was created: Front Row Joe.
PAY TRANSPARENCY AND EQUALITY REPORT
In compliance with Law No. 14,611/2023, MTE Ordinance No. 3,714 and Decree No. 11,795/2023, we released the Transparency and Salary Equality for Women and Men report from Cinemark Brasil S.A. The report was prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the based on data contained in e-social for the year 2022, and the information was grouped according to the Major Groups of the CBO (Brazilian Classification of Occupations). The CBO is a classification adopted by the government to specify and identify occupations in the Brazilian labor market and the CBO Major Groups is a government classification that brings together different types of work, that is, it groups together different functions and areas. Therefore, it is possible that the methodology used to prepare the report does not reflect the current reality of companies and we believe that for future reports the government will start using more up-to-date data.
